Playing

What ages is it for?

Children aged 5 to 11. The skills run from kindergarten through grade 5 and reach past that for a child who is ready. A little mode suits a 3 or 4 year old who wants to play along.

Does my child need to read to play?

No. The town reads each request aloud, and a reading child can pick a sibling to read stories to them. Little mode is spoken all the way through.

Is there a timer?

Only the one you set. A grown-up can set minutes per turn, and the town says when it is time to stop. Free play has no clock of its own.

Can two children play at once?

No. Children take turns on the iPad. Each child has their own character, coins and report.

Learning

What do the jobs practise?

Reading (stories and questions), spelling (words and sentences) and math (number, fractions, measurement, geometry). Each job is three short tasks.

How does it decide what to ask?

A skill tree that starts below your child's grade and climbs when answers go well. A check-up about once a month places them again. A grown-up can also start a focus session on one trouble spot.

Will it raise my child's grades or test scores?

We do not know, and we will not say so. Yggy's Village gives practice and a report of it. What you do with the report is up to you and your child's teacher.

Who wrote the questions?

The author, a parent, with the state's standards beside them. The tags are the author's, not a school's or a publisher's.

Parents and privacy

What do I see?

A page per child: the week, where to help, what changed, Sunday's review, the standards, growth, mistakes and habits, and a printable sheet for a conference.

Where is the data?

On your family's iPad, with each child's progress kept there. We never receive it, because it is an app that runs on the iPad, with no server of ours behind it; nothing is uploaded. A grown-up can download a backup file or delete it.

Are there ads or purchases?

No ads. Nothing is sold inside the town. Coins are earned, never bought.

Does it need the internet?

Only to install it and to get updates. After the first open it works offline, with no accounts. Nothing about your children is sent anywhere unless you hand it over yourself: a backup file, Share this week, or the AI-helper report.

Getting it

What do I need?

An iPad. It runs as an app, opened from an icon on the home screen. The Wilds add-on also needs a home computer that can stay on. We will send setup instructions in plain words.

What does it cost?

Joining the waitlist costs nothing. We will tell waitlist families the price before anything is sold, and there will be no subscription that renews by itself.

When?

A few families first. Join the list and we will write when a place is ready.
